Muscatine Power and Water will close Roscoe Avenue between Van Horne Street and West 11th Street beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1 for a water main replacement project.
The roadway will be fully closed during working hours. Outside of working hours, the road will reopen to one‑lane traffic. The project is expected to last approximately two weeks.
A designated detour will be in place using the following route: Roscoe to Van Horne, Van Horne to Fuller, Fuller to West 11th, and West 11th back to Roscoe.
Drivers should use caution when traveling near the work zone. Motorists should reduce speed, watch for workers and equipment, and follow posted detour signs. Expect brief delays during lane‑restricted periods and avoid driving through barricades at any time.
