Muscatine’s history comes to life Sunday, Sept. 20, during the annual Walk (or Ride) Through History at Greenwood Cemetery, 1814 Lucas St. The free, family-friendly event begins at 1 p.m. and features a one-hour tour led by knowledgeable guides sharing stories about Muscatine’s past.
Participants can walk the route or ride MuscaBus, which will provide transportation to and from the tour. Those needing a ride should call MuscaBus at 563-263-8152 at least one day in advance; no registration is required for the walking tour.
Volunteers interested in local history and storytelling are also encouraged to serve as tour guides. For more information, contact Muscatine Parks and Recreation at 563-263-0241. The event will be held rain or shine.
