Republic Services has informed the City of Muscatine that Recycling Route A will operate on a one‑day delay for the week of March 15 due to weather conditions.
- Monday’s recycling will be collected Tuesday
- Tuesday’s recycling will be collected Wednesday, and so on through the week
The City’s Solid Waste Division reports that refuse trucks are running today, but crews are experiencing slower progress because of the weather. Curbside bulky waste and curbside yard waste collections are not affected and will continue as scheduled.
The Compost Facility at the Muscatine Transfer Station on South Houser Street is temporarily closed due to weather impacts. City officials anticipate the facility will remain closed for most of the week.
Residents are encouraged to use caution near collection crews and to stay updated through City communication channels as conditions evolve.
