The City of Muscatine announced the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course will open for the 2026 season at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9. Course access for walking or golf cart use will depend on weather and course conditions.
Beginning Monday, tee times will start at 10 a.m. The clubhouse and driving range will open 30 minutes before the first tee time each day. Staff will evaluate course conditions each morning to determine whether golf carts are permitted.
The driving range will also open Monday, with tokens available for purchase in the pro shop. Tokens from previous seasons will remain valid.
The opening marks the return of one of the community’s most used outdoor recreation amenities and signals the start of spring activity within the city’s park system.
Local golfers are anticipating the season’s start, which many view as an opportunity to reconnect with the course and fellow players. City staff have prepared the course for early-season play with maintenance work on greens, fairways and practice facilities.
“The opening of the Municipal Golf Course is always an important milestone for our community,” said Mike Hainline. “We look forward to welcoming golfers back on March 9 and providing a high-quality recreational experience throughout the season.”
The Muscatine Municipal Golf Course will also host leagues, tournaments and community events later in the year. Additional information on schedules and registration will be announced as details are finalized.
Tee times can be reserved by calling the clubhouse at 563-263-4735 or by visiting the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department website.
Season passes will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 6, and beginning Monday, March 9, 30 minutes before the first tee time. Passes cover green fees for the 2026 season, and payment plans are available. Golfers can also visit the clubhouse to meet the new golf professional, Michael Hainline, and shop for equipment and apparel.
