The Muscatine Community School District is encouraging families to plan ahead by reviewing the 2026-27 school calendar and noting scheduled days when students will be out of school.
The district recently shared a calendar highlighting holiday breaks, spring break, teacher inservice days and conference compensatory days to help families schedule appointments, vacations and other activities throughout the school year.
Classes for students will begin on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, with the last scheduled day of school set for Friday, May 28, 2027.
District officials also reminded families that students will be dismissed two hours early every Friday during the school year.
The district encourages parents and guardians to save the school calendar as a reference when making plans throughout the year. As the first day of school approaches, district officials say they look forward to welcoming students back for the 2026-27 school year.
