Girl Scout Cookie season is getting a little more interesting — and this time, the family dog can join in, too.
Girl Scouts of the USA has announced two new additions to the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup, including the organization’s first-ever cookie created specifically for dogs and its first cookie designed to be allergy-friendly.
The new treats — Patch Pals™ and Girl Scout Sparkables™ — will be available exclusively online beginning Jan. 12, 2027, alongside longtime favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs.
A Girl Scout cookie for the family dog?
Developed with BARK, Patch Pals are soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored dog cookies designed to let four-legged family members get in on the Girl Scout Cookie fun.
Each cookie features one of four designs inspired by iconic Girl Scout experiences.
The idea came in part from Girl Scouts themselves, who have pushed for a cookie lineup that better reflects the needs and interests of their communities — including their love for their dogs.
A cookie designed with allergies in mind
The second new offering, Girl Scout Sparkables, is a crunchy oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
Developed with Partake, the cookie is made in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens, giving families navigating certain food allergies another option during Girl Scout Cookie season.
Girl Scout Sparkables and Patch Pals are both online-exclusive products.
And yes, the cookies support local Girl Scouts
Beyond the sweet treats, the Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls build real-world skills, including goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
Cookie sales also help fund experiences throughout the year, including outdoor adventures, travel, STEM activities, community service projects and leadership opportunities.
And importantly for local families, cookie proceeds stay local to support Girl Scout councils and troops.
National Girl Scout Cookie season runs from January through April, although specific dates can vary by region.
The 2027 national cookie season officially launches Jan. 12, when Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will become available for direct online shipping.
