The Scott County Emergency Management Agency is inviting members of the media and community partners to attend an Emergency Management Training and Educational Event on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Scott County Emergency Operations Center in Davenport.
The event is designed to bring together emergency management professionals, public information officials, and community stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, enhance preparedness efforts, and discuss current emergency management practices and challenges facing Scott County.
Attendees will learn more about the Scott County Emergency Management Agency, local emergency preparedness initiatives, and the agency’s role in planning, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak directly with emergency management experts and gain insight into how the agency works with media partners to provide timely and accurate information to the public during emergencies.
Organizers hope the event will help foster stronger partnerships, increase public awareness of emergency preparedness, and support a safer and more resilient community.
