Muscatine’s 2nd Annual Santa Fun Run/Walk is set for Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. at 1000 Oregon St., Muscatine, IA — and everyone’s invited to join the holiday fun, all for a great cause.

The Canadian Pacific–Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train makes its seasonal journey across the U.S. and Canada — and Muscatine, Iowa, is one of its honored stops.

Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Candy Cane Hunt hosted by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department.

Attendees also will be among the first to purchase ornaments created for the “Heartfelt & Handmade Ornament Competition.” Purchases can be taken home the same day.

All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Muscatine Art Center, which supports the art center’s educational programming.

Participants can begin the tour at any of the six churches and visit the others in any order. At each stop, guides will share stories, traditions, and historical details that highlight the church’s role in Muscatine’s heritage.

Join the annual Handcrafted Christmas event at the Muscatine Mall. Vendors galore with those unique and tasty homemade gifts and baked goods. There will be music, beverages, shopping and holiday fun to be had by all.

The Old Stone Church is holding its 2025 Christmas Service on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 4:00pm.

One of the area’s favorite holiday light displays is back. iLLUMINATE by Crossroads will transform historic Weed Park into a glowing wonderland this holiday season. Proceeds help fund essential local services through Crossroads and Senior Resources of Muscatine.
