The annual Muscatine Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk returns Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course, offering a family-friendly morning of fitness and fun hosted by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department and Muscatine Running Club.
Participants can choose a one-mile race for ages 14 and younger beginning at 10 a.m. or a three-mile race for ages 15 and older starting at 10:30 a.m. The popular “Predict Your Time” challenge returns, with participants attempting to finish as close as possible to their predicted time without using watches, phones or other timing devices.
Winners in each age division who come closest to their predicted times will receive a frozen Thanksgiving turkey, with a limit of one turkey per family. Registration is $20 and includes a commemorative event T-shirt, although shirts are not guaranteed for late or race-day registrations.
Registration is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department, 215 Sycamore St., or from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on race day at the golf course. For additional information, visit the City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation website or the Muscatine Running Club calendar, or call 563-263-0241.
