Book lovers, bargain hunters, and vinyl collectors are invited to the Friends of the Musser Public Library Semi-Annual Book Sale, returning October 22-24, 2026, at Musser Public Library, 408 E. 2nd St. in downtown Muscatine. This popular community event features thousands of gently used books, classic favorites, contemporary titles, and vinyl records, offering something for readers and collectors of all ages. The sale begins with a Members Preview Night on Thursday, October 22, from 4-8 p.m. Friends of the Musser Public Library members will have the first opportunity to browse and purchase items before the sale opens to the public. Not yet a member? Community members can join or renew their membership at the door and enjoy immediate access to the preview event. The book sale opens to the public on Friday, October 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and continues Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. until closing. During public sale hours, shoppers can participate in the popular “name-your-price” donation format, making it easy to take home books and records while supporting a great cause. Every donation made during the sale helps fund library programs, literacy initiatives, special projects, and community events that benefit Muscatine residents throughout the year. For more information about the book sale, donation guidelines, or becoming a Friend of the Library, visit musserpubliclibrary.org or contact Musser Public Library directly. |
