Muscatine Seeking Residents for Historic Preservation Commission

The City of Muscatine is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission.

The commission helps preserve Muscatine’s historic, architectural and cultural heritage by identifying and protecting properties, structures and districts with historical significance.

The commission meets at 5:15 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at Muscatine City Hall. Members serve five-year terms and may serve up to two full terms.

Residents interested in applying must submit an application by Aug. 28, 2026. Applications are available online through the Boards & Commissions section of the City of Muscatine website or in person at Muscatine City Hall, 215 Sycamore St.
