If you’ve been meaning to stop by Capone’s Chicago Style Eatery, now is the time.
The Muscatine restaurant announced it will permanently close after Thursday, July 2, giving customers just one more day to enjoy their favorite Chicago-style menu items before the doors close for good.
Owners said the decision came after careful consideration following three years of serving the Muscatine community.
“Over the past three years, we have truly appreciated the opportunity to serve the Muscatine community,” the restaurant said in a statement. “While this year has presented its challenges, we are grateful that we have been able to continue operating and supporting our customers throughout.”
Rather than simply closing the business, the owners said they are stepping aside to help another local restaurant affected by recent building issues.
According to the announcement, the space will be made available for Jibaro Restaurant, which was significantly impacted by structural problems at its previous location. The owners said they are proud to offer the building so Jibaro can continue serving customers and preserve its livelihood.
Capone’s owners thanked customers for their support, loyalty and feedback throughout the past three years.
They are encouraging the community to stop in before the restaurant closes at the end of the day July 2 and to continue supporting locally owned businesses throughout Muscatine.
“We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported Capone’s over the past three years,” the owners said. “Your business, loyalty and feedback have meant a great deal
to us.”
For customers hoping for one final meal, Thursday is the last opportunity to dine at Capone’s Chicago Style Eatery.
