Dr. Brad Bark, president and CEO of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry, has earned the prestigious Institute for Organization Management Graduate Recognition from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The designation recognizes Bark’s completion of 96 credit hours of advanced coursework in nonprofit and organizational management through the Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program for chamber and association leaders.

The program provides training in leadership, advocacy, finance, membership development and strategic organizational management. Participants also earn credits that can be applied toward Certified Chamber Executive and Certified Association Executive certifications.

According to institute officials, nearly 1,000 professionals from across the country participate in the program each year.

“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, vice president of the Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”

Bark’s achievement brings nationally recognized expertise back to Muscatine as GMCCI continues its efforts to support local businesses, workforce development and economic growth throughout the region.

Founded in 1921, the Institute for Organization Management has educated chamber, association and nonprofit leaders nationwide through a multi-year curriculum that includes four weeklong sessions hosted on university campuses across the country.

The Institute for Organization Management is the premier professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, offering leadership training and networking opportunities for chamber and association professionals.
