Community members are invited to gather this evening, Tuesday, June 2 at the Muscatine High School Stadium in a show of support, remembrance and unity as Muscatine continues to cope with the impact of a recent tragedy.

A community vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight, providing an opportunity for residents to come together, honor the lives that have been lost and support one another during a difficult time for the community.

Organizers say the vigil is intended to offer a space for reflection, healing and connection as families, friends, neighbors and community members navigate grief together. Attendees will have the opportunity to remember those affected, share in a moment of solidarity and find comfort in the presence of others.

Community leaders encourage anyone who has been impacted by the tragedy, whether directly or indirectly, to attend. The gathering is expected to focus on compassion, remembrance and the strength that comes from standing together during challenging times.

As Muscatine mourns, organizers hope the vigil will serve as a reminder that no one has to face loss alone and that the community remains committed to supporting one another in the days and weeks ahead.

Additional information about the vigil is available in the event details provided by organizers on the Muscatine Community School District’s social media page.

Both parking lots will be available. Entrance will be on Cedar Street and Houser only.
