Spread the Cheer: ‘Two Weeks of Love’ Launches for Salvation Army in Muscatine

The Salvation Army of Muscatine County has begun its annual Two Weeks of Love giving drive to support the 2025 Red Kettle Campaign, offering residents multiple ways to help local families this holiday season.

The community-focused campaign involves two themed collection weeks at partner locations across Muscatine.

Toy Drive: Dec. 1–5

Ed Morse Chevy, Buick and GMC of Muscatine will host a toy drive throughout the first week of December. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off during business hours to help ensure local children receive gifts this Christmas. Join MC Mornings, Connor Kenney for live broadcasts from 8 am- 11 am each day through December 5.

Freezin’ for Food: Dec. 8–12

During the second week, volunteers will brave the cold for the annual Freezin’ for Food event at Hy-Vee and Fareway Stores in Muscatine. Nonperishable food donations are encouraged and will support The Salvation Army’s food pantry and holiday meal programs.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is its largest fundraiser of the year, helping provide emergency assistance, meals, youth programs and year-round support for Muscatine County residents.
