Former University of Iowa football standout Cooper DeJean has introduced a new charitable initiative with the release of his own cereal, Captain Coop’s Crunch, benefiting the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
According to KCRG, Captain Coop’s Crunch is now available for purchase at select Hy-Vee and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, as well as online. Consumers can choose between two-pack and twelve-pack options, ranging in price from $24.95 to $119.95. A limited-edition Captain Coop’s Crunch cereal bowl is also available for $8.99 through the product website.
Proceeds from the cereal support the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, the state’s only nationally ranked comprehensive children’s hospital and home to the Hawkeye Wave. The hospital delivers specialized care for patients starting at birth, advances pediatric research and treatment, and trains the next generation of pediatric health care professionals. If this cereal tastes anything like the childhood favorite, Cap’N Crunch, it’s sure to be a hit.
