Roscoe Avenue will be closed to through traffic from West 11th Street to Dillway starting Monday, March 10, according to the Department of Public Works. Local traffic only will be permitted on this section of Roscoe.
The closure is for Muscatine Power and Water (MPW) water main relocation as part of the West Hill Sewer Separation Phase 6C Project. The closure will continue into the summer as the separation of sanitary and storm sewer will begin in three weeks.
Fulliam Avenue is also closed currently to through traffic from Cedar Street to Roscoe Avenue as Phase 6AB works on sanitary and storm sewer separation. Local traffic only will be permitted on this section of Fulliam. The closure is also expected to continue into the summer months.
The eastbound detour will be from Fulliam to Logan, and to Cedar Street. The westbound detour will use West 8th Street to Climer Street, to Logan Street and back to Fulliam Avenue.
