Wednesday was another big day for the Iowa women’s basketball program. Five-star forward McKenna Woliczko officially signed with the Hawkeyes. Woliczko is the highest-ranked signee in the Jan Jensen era so far and Iowa’s second highest-ranked signee in program history, trailing only Caitlin Clark. A 6-foot-2 forward out of Archbishop Mitty in San Jose, Calif., Woliczko signed with Iowa over fellow finalists South Carolina, USC and Ohio State.

Woliczko averaged 22.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game before suffering a season-ending injury, which coach Jensen alluded to. In her sophomore season with Archbishop Mitty, Woliczko averaged 22.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Woliczko is ranked as the No. 6 player nationally, as the No. 2 power forward and as the No. 2 player in California in the 2026 class per 247Sports.
