Beginning Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Stewart Road (X61) will be closed to all through traffic from just north of 49th Street to Pettibone Avenue as work resumes on the grading and Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement replacement project.
Metro Pavers Inc. is the prime contractor for the project.
Traffic will be detoured using Wiggins Avenue and Pettibone Avenue during the closure. Residents are advised to use the designated detour and to use caution while traveling on the detour. Construction is tentatively scheduled to be completed in late summer.
