The City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department announced that the process of closing amenities within the park system in preparation for the winter season will begin this week.
The tentative winterizing schedule includes:
- Closing and winterizing the Taylor Park Splash Pad and Mississippi Mist on October 1
- Closing Gas Dock on October 1
- Winterizing the Muscatine Boat Harbor October 23-24
- Winterizing drinking fountains, water hydrants, etc., October 27-30
- Closing Weed Park and Fuller Park restrooms October 30
- Closing Musser Park restroom on October 30
- Closing the Taylor Park restrooms on October 30.
