Number 1 Alley in Muscatine will be closed to all traffic between Walnut Street and the Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center parking lot drive from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through November 6.
The closure, scheduled between October 5 and November 6, will allow contractors to complete repairs on several sections of the library roof. The alley will reopen on rainy days or whenever construction work does not require access restrictions.
Walnut Street and the library parking lot will remain open, and no traffic impacts are expected beyond the alley closure. Motorists are urged to use caution near the construction area and obey all posted traffic-control devices.
