The Muscatine Center for Social Action has received $40,000 from the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine to support four essential programs serving residents in need.

The funding will help strengthen MCSA’s Emergency overnight shelters, domestic violence shelter, homeless prevention program and food pantry.

MCSA said the grant comes at an important time as the organization continues providing safe shelter, helping families remain housed, supporting survivors of domestic violence and connecting residents with food resources.

The organization expressed its appreciation to the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine for investing in programs that provide safety, stability and support for people throughout the community.

MCSA said the funding will help the organization continue meeting people where they are and providing assistance when they need it most.
