The northbound approach of the Mulberry Avenue–2nd Street roundabout is expected to close to traffic from Wednesday, Nov. 19, through Monday, Nov. 24, pending Muscatine City Council approval at its Nov. 18 meeting.
According to the City of Muscatine’s website, the closure will stretch from the roundabout to East 3rd Street while CDB Utility Contractors dig small test holes to locate and confirm the position of an existing gas line ahead of upcoming fiber installation work.
Northbound traffic will be detoured west on East 2nd Street, then north on Walnut Street, and east on East 3rd Street to reconnect with Mulberry Avenue.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the work is finished.
