Drivers in Muscatine should plan for a brief traffic slowdown Tuesday morning as part of scheduled maintenance along the riverfront.
The City of Muscatine Department of Public Works says Mississippi Drive will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, April 7, for approximately one hour. The southbound lane between Linn Street and Broadway Street is set to close beginning at 10 a.m. for tree removal along the bluff.
The work is weather dependent, and crews will be on-site removing trees and clearing debris in the area.
Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone, and officials expect delays to be minimal due to the short duration of the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down, follow all traffic control signage, and consider alternate routes if possible during the closure window.
