Iowa State Cyclone sports are set to return to the Muscatine airwaves on KWPC, starting with the 2026 football season. After a few years away, Cyclone fans will hear the familiar sounds of Iowa State football once again, kicking off with the home opener against SEMO on Saturday, September 5th at Jack Trice Stadium.
KWPC will continue to be the home for Muskie sports, and Muskie games will take priority over Cyclone broadcasts. The schedule works out so that there is little overlap between the two, letting fans follow both teams throughout their seasons.
Cyclone men’s and women’s basketball will also be back on the air this fall and winter. KWPC will carry all Cyclones coaches’ shows, providing fans with coverage and insights throughout the year.
Connor Kenney, General Manager of KWPC, shared his thoughts on the return: “Since KWPC and MC 93 became under the ownership of Krieger Media Company, we’ve heard from several listeners that they wanted us to bring back Cyclone sports. We heard them, and we’re giving our listeners what they want. As we should.”
With Cyclone sports returning to KWPC, all Hawkeye games will move to MC 93. You can listen to Cyclone football and basketball on 95.1 FM, 860 AM, voiceofmuscatine.com, the KWPC Alexa Skill, and the free KWPC app.
Are you ready to follow the Cyclones and Muskies all season long? KWPC makes it easy to keep up with your favorite teams right here in Muscatine.’
