Flipped Out Furniture has announced it will close its downtown Muscatine storefront after circumstances the owners say were beyond their control.
In a message shared with customers, owners Becky and Josh said their location at 225 E. Second St. will be closing, bringing an emotional end to a chapter they described as a dream and a passion project.
“Life has a funny way of changing plans when you least expect it,” the owners wrote, adding that the decision was prompted by circumstances outside of their control.
The business owners thanked the Muscatine community for its support, saying the storefront had become much more than a retail space through the relationships built with customers over the years.
Despite the closure of the physical location, Flipped Out Furniture emphasized that it is not shutting down entirely. The owners said they plan to continue selling furniture and home décor pieces online and through Facebook, while maintaining their commitment to customer service and unique finds.
“Our location may be changing, but our commitment to bringing you great finds and excellent service remains exactly the same,” the statement said.
The owners expressed gratitude to the community for its encouragement and patronage and said they are looking forward to the next chapter of the business.
