The City of Muscatine is hiring seasonal employees to support its Parks and Recreation Department, with openings for recreation programs and parks maintenance.
Available positions include Recreation Program Instructor, Program Aide, and Seasonal Equipment Operator. City officials say the jobs are ideal for students, people seeking flexible or temporary work, and residents interested in serving the community.
Recreation Program Instructors earn $16 per hour and help lead youth sports programs during the fall and winter seasons. Program Aides earn $12 per hour and assist with youth sports activities. Both positions require a background check and involve working with children in a positive, supportive environment.
The department is also hiring Seasonal Equipment Operators at $15 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and will operate mowing and groundskeeping equipment while helping maintain parks, green spaces and city facilities. Some weekend hours may be required.
