(ROCK ISLAND, Illinois – August 18, 2025) UnityPoint Health® and Trinity Health Foundation invite the community to the 17th annual V.R. Alla Community Health Symposium – a free event focused on raising awareness about heart health.
Alyas Chaudhry, MD, Cardiac Surgery Associates, S.C. will present “The History of Medicine, Where We are Today, and What’s Coming in the Future.” The free event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel.
Dr. Chaudhry will discuss how medical innovation has evolved over time and provide actionable tips for prevention and maintaining good heart health.
“Looking back at the history of medicine gives us valuable perspective on the advances we benefit from today,” says Dr. Chaudhry. “My hope is that attendees walk away with not only a better understanding of medical progress, but also practical steps they can take right now to protect their health.”
