Roar Into Summer Reading at “Dinos at the Dome”

Musser Public Library is hostin “Dinos at the Dome,” a family-friendly kickoff celebration for the library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” from 4:30–6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Musco Sports Center in Muscatine.

This year’s summer reading theme, “Unearth a Story,” encourages readers of all ages to explore paleontology, archaeology, gardening, research, and the joy of discovery through books and hands-on learning. The kickoff event is designed to build excitement for a summer full of reading, programs, and community fun.

“Dinos at the Dome” will feature open house-style activities throughout the evening.

Concessions will also be available for purchase during the event.

The library welcomes community members of all ages to enjoy the new sports dome, socialize with friends and neighbors, and create lasting memories at this unique community celebration.

“We hope families and readers of all ages will come out, have fun, and get excited about participating in summer reading,” said Emerson Taylor, Youth Services Supervisor at Musser Public Library.
