Muscatine’s beloved It Takes a Village Fall Pet Festival, presented by Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America, is back at Weed Park on Saturday, October 4 for a full day of pet-friendly fun.
This family-friendly event will feature a wide range of activities, from the always-popular Village Pet Olympics—where dogs can try their paw at fun challenges and compete for medals—to live demonstrations, games, kids’ crafts, and more. The first 600 pets through the gate will also receive a free Petfinder swag bag.

A special birthday celebration for Vinny the Village Pup, the festival’s mascot

A Junior Dog Trainer event for kids to show off their skills

The debut of the Pet Thrift Shop booth, featuring gently used collars, costumes, kennels, ramps, litter boxes, and other pet essentials
In addition to the pet activities, the festival will host the Village Craft Bazaar, an opportunity to shop for handmade holiday gifts, home décor, and a colorful assortment of mums for fall decorating.
Food lovers won’t be disappointed either—the culinary lineup will include festival favorites such as giant breaded tenderloins, Thanksgiving Dinner Poutine, smoked mac & cheese, and more.
