Get ready for some Halloween fun, Muscatine. The City has announced that official Trick-or-Treat hours will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
Mayor Brad Bark shared the news during the Muscatine City Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7, inviting children and families across the community to take part in the annual Halloween tradition.
Residents who plan to hand out candy are encouraged to flip on their porch lights to welcome trick-or-treaters. The City also reminds everyone to keep safety in mind so the night stays spooky—but safe—for all.
Halloween Safety Tips
-
Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes to help kids stay visible after dark.
-
Only visit homes with porch lights on.
-
Parents and guardians should accompany young children and check all treats before eating.

Drivers are also asked to be extra careful on the roads during Trick-or-Treat hours, as little ghosts and goblins will be out and about.
Before Halloween night, families can get into the spirit early at the All Hallows Trunk or Treat event, hosted by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Kent Stein Park.
Kids can dress up, bring their trick-or-treat bags, and collect candy from a lineup of festively decorated vehicles along the north side of Oneida Avenue. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join the fun in costume, too!
Parking will be available on the south side of Oneida Avenue in Kent Stein Park and at the nearby Muscatine Soccer Complex, just a short walk away.
