Live Music Takes Center Stage at Muscatine High School Auditorium

It’s shaping up to be an exciting week of live performances at the Muscatine High School Auditorium as student musicians take the stage for a series of concerts the community won’t want to miss.

The week kicks off with the MHS Choir Concert on March 2 at 7 p.m., showcasing the hard work and talent of the school’s vocal performers.

On March 5 at 7 p.m., audiences can enjoy a dynamic evening featuring the MHS Symphonic Band, SCJH 7th Grade Band and Percussion Ensemble. The music continues on March 6 at 7 p.m. with the MHS Wind Ensemble and SCJH 8th Grade Band performing a wide range of selections.

Admission for these concerts is budget-friendly: $3 for students K-12 and senior citizens, $4 for adults, and $10 maximum per family. Activities Pass holders are admitted free.

🍰 Dessert Concert Fundraiser

Be sure to save the date for the annual MHS Dessert Concert on March 9 at 7 p.m., a fundraiser supporting the MHS Choral Boosters. The evening will feature performances by the SCJH show choir, MHS jazz choir Current Mood, River City Rhythm Show Choir and more.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students K-12. Please note that passes are not accepted for this special event. In addition to great music and sweet treats, there may even be a chance to pie a director in the face for a little extra fun.

🎻 Orchestra Performance

Rounding out the week, the MHS Orchestra will perform on March 10 at 7 p.m. at the MHS Auditorium. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for the talented student musicians who have dedicated countless hours preparing for these performances. It promises to be a fantastic celebration of music at MHS.
