A simple glass of lemonade continues to make a big impact in Muscatine.
The annual Lemonade for a Cause fundraiser returns Saturday, July 11, with all proceeds benefiting the Muscatine Center for Social Action (MCSA) Domestic Violence Shelter.
The community is invited to stop by 417 W. 3rd St. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to support the cause. Organizers Tony “Tone” Loconsole and his family, including Henry, Teddy and Lucy, will be serving lemonade while raising money for survivors of domestic violence.
In a social media post, Loconsole thanked community members Jason Schillig and Dylan King for their generous donations ahead of this year’s event, noting that support from local businesses, friends and neighbors continues to make the fundraiser a success.
Those who can’t attend in person can still contribute by making a donation directly to the MCSA through Venmo using @MCSA-312.

Since its launch in 2021, Lemonade for a Cause has raised more than $26,000 for the MCSA Domestic Violence Shelter. Every dollar donated helps provide services and support for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence in the Muscatine area.
Organizers say the fundraiser is a reminder that even small acts of generosity can have a lasting impact when a community comes together.
