If you have loved ones living with a mental health condition it can be tough to know how best to support them—and at the same time, take care of yourself. NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley and Muscatine Community College are hosting a Family & Friends Seminar right here in Muscatine.
When: Tuesday, September 16 • 6:00–7:30 p.m.

During the 90 minute seminar, you’ll learn practical ways to support the people you care about while also connecting with others who truly understand what you’re going through. The session is led by people who have been in your shoes—they’ve supported family members with mental health conditions and want to share what’s helped them most.
The Event Covers:
-
Making sense of diagnoses, treatment, and recovery
-
Simple communication strategies that really work
-
Why self-care matters (and how to actually practice it)
-
How to prepare for a crisis before it happens
