Spring is in the air, and that means it’s nearly time for one of Muscatine’s favorite family traditions — the annual Easter egg hunt.

The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to attend the event Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Weed Park. The hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m. in the Upper Loop near the Rose Garden Playground.

Children will be divided into age groups to ensure everyone has a fair chance to collect eggs. Age categories include children ages 3 through kindergarten and those in first through third grades.

Participants are asked to follow the designated areas for their age group. Children are encouraged to bring their own Easter baskets. Eggs will be pre-filled so participants can take home their collected treats.

The event offers families a chance to celebrate the season, enjoy spring weather and connect with friends and neighbors. The Easter egg hunt is free and open to the public.
