Contrary Brewing is challenging the surrounding area to showcase their best chili recipes during their highly-anticipated SouperBowl chili cookoff kicking off tomorrow, Saturday, February 8, just one day ahead of the biggest night in football.

Contrary Brewing will be accepting chili entries leading up the event and asks those who are participating to arrive by 12:45 p.m. in order to set up. Simply send Contrary Brewing  a Facebook message to let them know you are bringing a pot!

Judging begins off at 1 p.m. with two awards up for grabs: People’s Choice, voted by you, and Best Chili, decided by Contrary’s panel of celebrity judges, including Muscatine Sheriff Quinn Riess, Tony “Tone” Loconsole, Principal Ryan Castle, and contrarian Troy Helsley.

A $10+ donation will give non-participants the following:
  • Access to all chilis (while they last!)
  • A ticket to vote for your favorite
  • A chance to win a $50 gift card to Contrary
All proceeds collected during the event will go towards local non-profit It Takes A Village Animal Rescue & Resources.
