Madison and Mulberry Elementary School teacher Rachelle Schneider has been selected as the recipient of the Bridgestone Bandag Classroom of the Quarter, announced today by the Muscatine Community School District.

In her twenty-fifth year with the district and thirty-seventh overall as an educator, Rachelle (pictured, L) plans to use the $500 grant to purchase four TimeKettle M3s, language translator devices for non-English speakers.

Rachelle said two Madison students will use them to translate classroom lessons into Spanish and two Mulberry students for French translation.

“It will help them understand the lesson more and learn more because they have that real, live translation,” Rachelle said. “I won’t have to use my phone now to help them translate during a math lesson. It will save so much time.”
