The Iowa DNR Fisheries stocked a total of one-thousand rainbow trout and two broodstock in Discovery Pond on Friday afternoon.
The fish are fifteen months old, averaging eleven inches in length and they weigh about half a pound. They will swim circles around the pond, going down to a depth of about four feet.
Valid Iowa fishing license is needed to fish at Discovery Pond (if over sixteen years of age), plus a trout stamp. All fishing rules apply. Daily limit is five with a possession limit of ten.
