About Tami

Tami launched her broadcasting career in television production and news at a western Illinois ABC affiliate before being recruited to develop a broadcast curriculum for a college in eastern Iowa. She went on to design and build video production, television, and radio studios while teaching broadcasting courses. Her success in Iowa led to an invitation to create another broadcast program at a four-year university in Jacksonville, Florida.

Tami’s career then expanded into marketing and communications, where she developed campaigns for nonprofits and universities across eastern Iowa and western Illinois. At the same time, she returned to her on-air roots as a part-time morning news personality at KMXG Mix 96 in Davenport, Iowa. Listeners may also recognize her voice from middays and afternoon drive on KIIK 104.9 and WXLP 97X in Davenport, as well as KRNA 94.1 in Cedar Rapids/Iowa City.

When she’s not behind the mic, Tami is likely at a concert, performing in her band, working at a local flower farm, or spending time with friends and family. With years of experience in marketing, communications, education, and broadcasting, she has a natural ability to connect and engage with the community.

A proud Iowa native and Hawkeye fan (she finds a way to mention it now and then), Tami brings good vibes, authenticity, and genuine connection to her listeners every time she’s on the air. Tami is a proud mom of two daughters and pet parent to Aja and Bodhi.
