Olsen, Stuelke and Affolter Earn All Big Ten Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Three University of Iowa women’s basketball student-athletes – seniors Lucy Olsen and Sydney Affolter and junior Hannah Stuelke — received All-Big Ten honors for the 2024-25 season, it was announced Tuesday on the Big Ten Network. The Hawkeyes have had a first-team All-Big Ten selection in nine consecutive seasons.

Olsen was named a unanimous first-team selection the coaches, while also being selected to the media’s first team.  The Collegeville, Pennsylvania, native ranked fifth in the Big Ten in scoring (18 points) and third in assists (4.8) during the regular season.  It is the fourth all-conference honor of Olsen’s career.  She was a unanimous first-team All-Big EAST selection as a junior, a second-team honoree as a sophomore and an all-rookie team honoree as a freshman.

Stuelke garnered second-team honors by the media and honorable mention from the coaches after averaging 13 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds.   It is her second straight second-team All-Big Ten honor.

Affolter was honorable mention from the media and was Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient.  She averaged 8.5 points and 8.1 rebounds enroute to her first career All-Big Ten recognition.

The Hawkeyes finished the regular season 20-9 overall, notching their ninth consecutive 20-win season. It is the second-longest streak in program history.
