Kerry Russell Maxwell, 81, of Letts, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conesville Cemetery with military rites. Kerry Russell Maxwell was born on July 24, 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa; the son of Russell and Irene (Foster) Maxwell. He joined the United States Navy in 1964. Kerry worked for GPC as an Operator for 31 years before he retired in 1999. After his retirement, he could be found out in his workshop working on various projects or out hunting and fishing with his friends. Kerry enjoyed working on genealogy, listening to music, being outside, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Though he was a man of few words, Kerry always knew how to make people laugh.
Those left to honor his memory are is cousins Patrick (Caleen) Pagel, Nancy Pagel, Henry (Francie) Miller, Ken (Paula) Jones, Scott (Jessica) Ingstad, John (Jane) Powell, Janet (Debbie) Powell, Judy (Mark) Sobol, Martha Powell, and Bill (Eileen) Maxwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; cousins Palma and Hermann Pagel and Mike Pagel.
