Ages 14-20 are invited to join the Muscatine Police Department for an introduction to the functions of law enforcement at the 2025 Junior Police Academy. Students will learn what it takes to become an officer with hands-on lessons and activates, including medical training, K-9 operations, defense tactics, and much more.

The program is free for all students and is hosted by the Muscatine Community College and Muscatine Police Department. The Academy will take place June 9-14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Junior Police Academy is designed to develop a greater partnership between Muscatine Police Department and the community.
