Mark Gronowski became a fan favorite as Iowa’s starting quarterback in 2025. Now he’s looking for a new NFL home.
The Miami Dolphins cut him on Friday, ending his tenure with the organization. Gronowski signed with the Dolphins after he went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. After a few months battling for a roster spot, he was released just before the preseason kicks off.
Gronowski was competing with Malik Willis and Quinn Ewers for snaps in Miami’s quarterback room. Ultimately, the two veterans beat him out. He’ll seek a new team before the preseason starts. The preseason would be a great opportunity for him to showcase to other organizations what he can do. He completed 63.4% of his passes last season with the Hawkeyes. He threw for 1,741 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also added 545 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground.
