Krieger Media Company is looking for a play-by-play broadcaster for the upcoming 2026 Muskie baseball and softball seasons! This is a great opportunity, whether you"re an experienced broadcaster or a fresh voice looking to break into sports broadcasting. The Play-by-Play Radio Broadcaster for Muscatine High School baseball and softball is responsible for delivering live, engaging, and accurate game coverage that captures the excitement of Muskies athletics. This role includes providing detailed play-by-play descriptions, insightful commentary, player and team background information, and clear updates on score, inning, pitch count, and game situations for listeners both at home and online. The broadcaster collaborates with station staff, coaches, and media partners to ensure accurate rosters and storylines, maintains a professional and enthusiastic on-air presence, and upholds the values and sportsmanship standards of Muscatine Community School District and Krieger Media. Strong communication skills, knowledge of baseball and softball rules, preparation, and the ability to think quickly and describe fast-paced action in real time are essential for success in this position. The play-by-play broadcaster will call all home varsity baseball and softball games from May until early July.
