Muscatine County Emergency Management has issued a burn ban today, Monday, March 10, 2025. The ban is in effect until further notice. In addition, the National Weather Service – Quad Cities has issued a red flag warning for critical fire danger in effect from noon to 8 p.m. this evening.
The combination of gusty southwest winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels will result in critical fire weather conditions this afternoon into early evening. If a fire was to start, it would likely spread quickly and be difficult to extinguish. Do not burn.
