The City of Muscatine, in coordination with the Department of Public Works (DPW), will open its next online public surplus auction on Tuesday, October 13. Bidding will remain open through 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27.
All items included in the auction were declared surplus by the Muscatine City Council on August 18 and will be listed through the Public Surplus website at Public Surplus.
The auction features a single item: a retired 1985 Muscatine Trolley and Tours vehicle. The vehicle was originally gifted to the city but is now in poor condition and requires extensive repairs. As a result, it will be sold for parts-only and must be removed from city property by trailer.
Residents interested in participating can visit the Public Surplus website, select “Iowa”, then “City of Muscatine” to view the auction listing. Registration is required to access detailed item information and place bids.
