Mary Longcor, 87, of Muscatine passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Lutheran Living. Visitation will be on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Ss. Mary Mathias Church. Rev. Chris Weber will officiate. Burial will be at Drury Reynolds Cemetery at a later date. Mary Ellen Reed was born on November 6, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Merle Clinton and Martha Agnes (Bopp) Reed, Sr. She was a 1956 graduate of Reynolds High School and later attained her CNA certification. Mary was married to Ellis Billingsley and later divorced, then married Morris Longcor and later divorced. Over the years, Mary had worked for Heinz, a CNA at Lutheran Living and then worked at Community Nursing as a home health care nurse. She was a member of the Ss. Mary Mathias Parish, Women of the Moose and various card clubs. Mary enjoyed playing cards, family and classmates get togethers and dancing, but most of all she loved to spend time with the grandchildren.

Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Kathryn LaFayette of Columbus Junction, Jim (Jeanette) Billingsley of Wilton, Jeff (Shila) Longcor of Illinois City; grandchildren, Kristy (Josh) Loose, Amy (Jason) Young, Jason (Megan) Cadogan, Ryan Lucatero, Michael Lucatero, Hannah (Bradon) Fogel, Emma (Austin) Smyth, Jacob Longcor; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Marge (David) Bowers of Orion, Illinois, Carol (David) Martin of Edgington, Illinois and sister-in-law, Linda Reed of Illinois City.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Merle Reed, Jr.
