Muscatine Bakery Asks Community for Support

A local bakery is asking the Muscatine community for some extra support after experiencing a slower-than-usual stretch over the past two weeks.

A Baker’s Dozen, formerly KeDough Bakery & Pastries located at 3333 Mulberry Ave., said business has been unusually slow and is encouraging customers to stop by, make a purchase or simply share the bakery’s social media posts to help spread the word.

The bakery will feature a selection of fresh treats for Cheesecake Friday, including cookies, cream puff pillows, cherry and blueberry turnovers, Samoa cheesecake slices, Brownie Oreo cheesecake slices and caramel apple cheesecake slices.

Saturday will bring fresh cinnamon rolls, along with the introduction of a new cinnamon roll flavor that the bakery says will be revealed soon.

A Baker’s Dozen said every purchase, visit, comment, recommendation and social media share can make a difference for a small business.

The bakery’s shed at 3333 Mulberry Ave. is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The business is encouraging local residents to stop by and support a Muscatine small business.
