Construction on Phase 6D of the West Hill Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation Project is making progress above and below ground, with paving completed on Hagerman Drive and underground work moving onto Eisenhower Street.
The paving crew with KE Flatworks, Inc. has completed work on Hagerman Drive, which has reopened to traffic. Crews are preparing Logan Street for paving later this week, weather permitting.
Meanwhile, the underground construction crew has successfully completed work through the ravine between Logan and Eisenhower streets and is now working along Eisenhower Street.
Logan Street remains closed to all traffic from approximately 1238 Logan Street to the Newell Avenue intersection.
KE Flatworks is maintaining local access for residents on Eisenhower and Devitt streets, but through traffic is not permitted within the active construction zone.
The City of Muscatine is asking motorists and residents to use caution around construction areas and appreciates the public’s patience as crews continue improvements to critical sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure in the West Hill neighborhood.
