    A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible, Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible, Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible

    A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.

Darrell D. Curtis, 84, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Trinity UnityPoint Muscatine.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2026, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Reverend David McIntosh and Pastor Michael Haltom will officiate. There will be a luncheon immediately following services at the church. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
